Some groups like SIVA SIX have successfully switched to the electro-industrial scene from origins in black metal. Like PSYCLON NINE before them, DAWN OF ASHES seem to currently be moving in the opposite direction: from dark electro to death metal.
Currently recording what will be their third studio album ¡ÆGenocide Chapters¡Ç, DAWN OF ASHES have now adopted SLIPKNOT-style masks and an expanded line-up featuring live drums, bass and guitar.
However, prior to this apparent change of musical direction they have been responsible for 2 of the electro-industrial scene¡Çs most powerful recent albums - in the shape of their 2006 debut ¡ÆIn The Acts Of Violence¡Ç (which reached #9 in the DAC German Alternative Charts), and the widely-praised follow-up ¡ÆThe Crypt Injection¡Ç (2007: DAC #6!).
